Help & Anxiety

Yeah, this is my wedding day over 22 years ago. It was December and it was freezing!

I can see everything in this picture now.

I see us holding hands.

I see us running.

I see me somewhat leading/pulling my husband down a road that is dirty, dark and unknown.

All very symbolic.

I definitely had no idea what the future held for us. I just knew we would walk (or run through) life together. And thank goodness for the power of our union because it was, and still is, a big part of how I was able to get through anxiety.

Actually, it was how we got through anxiety.

Yes, I know my husband did not have it, but when someone you love is going through anxiety, it is as if the entire family is suffering.

You because you are in the middle of it.

The people that love you because they do not know how to stop it and help you.

Support is such a large part in the healing puzzle.

It could be a spouse or a family member. A doctor or a therapist. A friend or a confidant.

A parent. God and faith....

Help was a hard word for me. Being a perfectionist help was almost a bad word.

Until I got anxiety. That is when I knew I had to let go and let others help me to help myself.

It's okay. It is all okay. You are okay.

Allow the others in your life to tell you over and over again that you are okay.

Listen to them. They can see the truth about you that you may not be ready to see. Believe them. You are amazing. Let their messages sink into your subconscious.

Thank them. For they are your angels on earth.

Love Always, Lucie
