Winged Goddess of Victory

Updated: Nov 18, 2018

I am so very grateful I was able to go on vacation this past week with my family. While in Paris, we visited the Louvre. Upon entering the Denon wing of the museum, we were guided up the stairs and in front of us was this beautiful monument. I knew nothing of her, but was drawn to her. In fact, I have more pictures of the Winged Victory of Samothrace than any other exhibit.

As I went on to view the Mona Lisa, my mind was still upon this beautiful marble figure.

When I returned home and was flipping through my recent vacation memories, I saw the above picture and was curious to learn more. As I Googled, I was even more fascinated, and finally undertstood what my attraction was to her.  The Winged Victory of Samothrace, is also known as the Winged Goddess of Victory, or Nike, who is the goddess of strength, speed and victory.

You were made to be victorious. Do not give up, even though, at times, the "race" may seem too difficult to finish. You can do this. It is good to have your eyes set upon the end result, but also acknowledge the little steps that you have taken. Celebrate the small victories, as you will create aligned energy. This energy is the momentum to move you down your path, and into conscious creation.

Remember, what you focus on grows, so acknowledge every step as a victory. You were meant to go the distance. The dream would never have been placed into your heart, if you could not bring it to fruition. You are like this magnificent statue, Nike, full of strength and made to win.

Let go of your fear and take a step.
