Years ago my daughter and I were making chalk drawings on our driveway and we noticed a few butterflies fly over us. And then a few more. And before long there were what seemed to be millions of these magnificent creatures flying in a beautifully orchestrated dancing arc above our heads.
We didn't speak. We were mesmerized for minutes as we witnessed the Monarch Butterfly Migration. When it was over, we were at a loss for words, but our smiles spoke for us.
I thought it was ironic that I was witness to this nature's miracle because I had just taken down the butterfly magnet on my refrigerator.
I had an amazing quote magnet on my refrigerator for years while I was suffering with anxiety, malnutrition and chemical sensitives. The words on that magnet were a lifeline to me. You probably know the quote: "just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly." These words helped me hold on because I thought maybe, just maybe, I was turning into something that I couldn't quite understand yet, but could at least believe in.
I am so grateful for witnessing the migration.

We ALL go through changes and growth in life. No one is immune to the uncomfortable transitions be it in health, loss, relationships, careers, or any other area of life. And when we make it out of the darkness and into the light, many begin to see the journey not just as growth but also as a blessing.
You have within you strength and wisdom beyond comprehension.
Believe in your journey. If you are not flying, you are still in transition. Keep believing. Your time is coming. You got this.
